Best Dessert in Budapest (With Gluten Free Options!)
Hungary has some wonderful food, and there are some standout spots in Budapest. Below, I detail some of my favourite dessert spots in the lively city!
The Sweet
This adorable café with a decidedly cute and chic interior makes some of the most beautiful macarons and cakes. in Budapest!
Heart shaped macarons, unicorn macarons, pear-shaped macarons… they make treats for the eyes as well as the mouth!
As well as macarons, they also prepare wonderful cakes and smooth cups of coffee. What’s not sweet about that?

DESSZERT.NEKED
Decadent desserts await at this beautifully decorated dessert shop. The bakers here pride themselves on the presentation and taste of their sweets, and you can’t really go wrong with whatever you choose to order. There are alway unique and mouth-watering offerings, like a black sesame/ Raspberry/ Vanilla pastry aptly named the “Femme Fatale”, or a Peanuts/ Maple syrup/ Banana chocolate/ bacon/ Blueberry/ Caramel concoction named “Elvis Presley”.
There were two flourless options, but they were not celiac-friendly.

Spinoza
For a more traditional Hungarian dessert, head to Spinoza! The service was very good, and the chestnut dessert was tasty and not too sweet (great for a late-night bite). The pièce de résistance? Live piano music!
Situated in the Old Jewish Quarter near the Opera, it’s very well located and easy to get to via transit.
