Agent Nateur Skincare Review (Luxe Cruelty-Free, non-GMO, and Organic Brand)

Agent Nateur is a luxurious clean beauty skincare brand, that offers a diverse range of covetable products.

Each offering is wild-crafted, cruelty-free, ecocert certified, non-GMO, and organic, so you can rest assured you’re supporting a brand that cares about the ingredients they use.

While rare, this is one brand that I’ve tried whose products, across the board, were all hits that worked well for my skin. They’re all high-quality, and a little goes a long way. The bottles themselves feel high-quality, thanks to their silky exterior and pleasant heft, but I will note I found some issue with their mechanisms (i.e. the Eye Serum’s pump, and the Holi Water’s spray).

Besides this, Agent Nateur has been a wonderful brand I was happy to discover, and it has been very easy on my sensitive skin.

My only reservation, and sole warning about doing a deep dive into Agent Nateur, would be the price tag. However, if that’s not a concern of yours in the pursuit of a perfect complexion, then by all means, indulge yourself!

Read on to get my honest, un-biased thoughts on this great brand!

The eye product that Agent Nateur has to offer is the Holi Glow Eye Serum [stylized as H o l i ( g l o w ) ].

This incredibly hydrating formula is a glass of water for the eyes. It has a gel-like consistency, that isn’t sticky or greasy to the touch. Rather, it feels cooling to apply, and keeps the area moisturized for a long time after application.

Key ingredients in the serum target dryness, puffiness, and dark under-eye circles.

It is highly nourishing, and my under-eyes especially look quite radiant and bright (d̶e̶s̶p̶i̶t̶e̶ ̶m̶y̶ ̶l̶a̶c̶k̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶s̶l̶e̶e̶p̶). It is so hydrating on its own, that an eye cream on top is unecessary. I really enjoy applying the product, as my eyes feels instantly awake and refreshed.

In regards to my reservations about this eye serum, I do dislike the dispensing pump mechanism. It is rather stiff, and releases more product than needed at a time. You can end up wasting product if you’re not very careful with how much you take out. This is more of a concern, given the hefty price tag for the amount of product you receive.

As well, it should be noted that it is not easy to layer makeup over this eye serum. It is very moisturizing, and the gel consistency takes time to soak in. In order to create an elaborate eye makeup look after using this eye serum, I usually wait around 30 minutes between my skincare and makeup application. Personally, I can look past this flaw, as the product does perform extremely well in the skincare department (and, besides, I don’t often wear elaborate makeup since I’ve seen so few people during the pandemic).

These thoughts aside, I do overall enjoy this eye serum. It leaves this delicate area of skin feeling well nourished and highly moisturized.

holi (water) pearl and rose hyaluronic essence

Agent Nateur’s Holi Water [stylized as H o l i ( w a t e r ) ] is a dynamic product that, in their words, helps to “restore your skin’s brilliance”.

This lightweight elixir helps to create radiant, dewy skin, thanks to its unique combination of mineral and plant extracts. It’s quite a comprehensive product, suitable for a wide variety of skin types, including sensitive skin. It is even suitable to use while pregnant, or breastfeeding.

Some of the benefits it provides are aiding in collagen production, plumping skin, and reducing the appearance of pores. It also helps boost the effectiveness of the other products applied on top of it.

It has a light floral scent, which is pleasing. It achieves this solely based on the unique blend of ingredients, as there is no artificial scents, fragrances, or parfums added. Ooh la la.

The product itself is very refreshing, and has a pleasing consistency. It is instantly cooling, and has never irritated my skin at all. I used it during the winter months, and rather than dry up, my skin has retained it’s normal dewiness. I think it’s been a nice addition to my routine.

One thing I dislike is the spray mechanism of the bottle itself. Rather than a light mist, it squirts out a lot of product in a forceful manner. This may be a personal preference, but I dislike being forced to spray it into my palm and then rubbing it over my face.

Other than the hardware of the product, the software itself is high-quality. In essence, I really enjoyed using this essence, and would consider re-purchasing it.

This is my favourite Agent Nature product.

The Holi Oil Refining Ageless Face Serum [stylized as H o l i ( o i l ) ] is chock full of essential vitamins, antioxidants, and hydrating oils. It helps revive and balance skin, leaving it looking supple, smooth, and radiant. It is especially effective bringing life to dull skin during dryer months of the year, or in the dryer climates.

I would classify the scent of this oil as ‘revitalizing’. There is vibrant pepper-y undertone to the otherwise floral scent (there is no pepper in the formula). It’s crisp, and I enjoy it. As for the consistency, it’s a dryer oil, that soaks into the skin quickly. It’s easier, and recommended, to blend it in after the skin is damp, either from cleansing, or applying the brand’s Holi Water. Both makeup and SPF are easy to apply on top of it within minutes.

I enjoy using this product, as it has helped reduce my acne scars, and has kept my skin looking dewy.

My mum, who would categorize herself as having ‘mature skin’ has also used this oil. When I asked her opinion of it, she said it has been effective at keeping her skin looking more plump, and smooth.

Although it is a pricier product, you get a decent bang-for-your-buck, as only 2-3 drops are necessary to cover your entire face. I suggest applying it after dampening your face with the brand’s Holi Water, or another essence / toner of choice.

All in all, I really love Holi Oil, and would definitely repurchase the product. My acne scars have begun to fade as I’ve consistently used the product, and my skin always feels revitalized and hydrated when I use it.

Acid (wash) lactic acid brightening cleanser

The first step I use as part of a double-cleansing routine is the Agent Nateur Acid Wash Lactic Acid Brightening Cleanser [stylized as A c i d ( w a s h ) ].

Although I was originally hesitant to use lactic acid twice daily on my sensitive skin, I was pleasantly surprised that this cleanser was sufficiently mild as to not cause irritation.

This cleanser gently sloughs away dead skin cells, and leaves skin looking bright and cleansed. It works well to combat dullness, and doesn’t leave skin feeling tight or overly stripped of moisture.

I have acne prone skin, and although I still get breakouts, I have not experienced any increased acne while using this product. It’s good at managing excess oil, and keeping excess blemishes at bay.

Sometimes, using a cleanser that solely targets acne, can leave the rest of your skin very dry and flaky. However, the Acid Wash (in conjunction with the Holi Oil) strikes a good balance of keeping my skin relatively blemish-free, but also hydrated.

Altogether, this is an effective cleanser, that leaves skin cleansed and hydrated. It’s gentle, and suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin. I highly suggest giving it a try!

The second step I use as part of a double-cleansing routine is the Agent Nateur Holi Cleanse Cleansing Face Oil [stylized as H o l i ( c l e a n s e ) ].

This is a beautiful oil cleanser, that whisks away makeup and dirt, without feeling greasy. Unlike some other oil cleansers I’ve tried, this one dissolves well with water, and is easy to remove when gently patted away with the complimentary muslin cloth.

Many of the ingredients are calming, which is a welcome ingredient when used after Acid Wash.

As for the effectiveness of the cleanser, it is sufficient to remove what I would deem ‘everyday’ makeup (SPF, concealer / light foundation, mascara, eyeliner, lip gloss). If you’re wearing something heavier, you may need to use a second round of the product, or a proper makeup remover.

This product has a light scent, that is not cloying at all. It’s initial consistency is - surprise, surprise! - oily, but, it does lather well, and it can be removed without leaving any greasy residue.

All around, this is a wonderful oil cleanser. It’s one of my favourites, as it effectively removes makeup, while leaving skin feeling very smooth, but not greasy. I highly recommend it.
