June 2019 - Favourites
Here are the items that kept me going all throughout the month of June!
ORLY nailpolish
Orly nail polishes are a more inexpensive alternative to a non-toxic nail polish. Although I find the formula a bit more difficult to apply, it’s worth taking a few extra minutes swiping it on due to the great colour payoff. I find the formula very long-lasting, as some of their colours are very fun (Key Lime Twist is my favourite!)
What colour was I repping during the month of June? This white shade called “Barely There”.
Here is what the nail-polish formulated without:
Formaldehyde
Formaldehyde Resin
Dibutyl phthalate (DBP)
Toluene
Camphor
Ethyl Tosylamide
Xylene
MEHQ/HQ
MIT
Parabens
Also cruelty-free, gluten free, and vegan.

ThinkSport SPF30 Body & Face Sunscreen Stick
Summer is officially here, and it’s important to keep your skin safe! This SPF stick has constantly been in my purse, ready for quick and easy touch-ups on the go.
ThinkSport SPF has one of my favourite mineral sunscreen formulations, and this stick delivers big on blocking those UVA and UVB rays.
With something smaller in size than your wallet, there’s no more excuse not to carry your sunscreen with you! Best part? This definitely won’t spill or leak in your bag!
Plaid bucket hats
Bucket hats were a huge trend in 2018, and have continued being “hip” and “cool” throughout 2019. My current take on the trend? Bucket hats in plaid.
Tartan print comes in and out of fashion (it was first unveiled in the late 16th century), but it can easily be freshened up with modern touches such as Holographic/ Iridescent clothing or high-shine lip-glosses.
Pilot Coffee Beans
I am a coffee addict, and this month, the cups I am brewing at home are with Pilot Coffee Beans in “San Jerónimo”. Taste it and you’ll see why!
Cookie Dough Lush Lip Scrub
Chapped lips, begone!
It’s no secret that I enjoy my Lush lip scrubs. Although I am usually inclined to use “Mint Julips” or “Honey”, the Cookie Dough flavour has recently taken over as my go-to.
My lipstick goes on smoother, and my pout look plumper, all thanks to this wonderful vanilla-scented scrub!
The Ordinary Rosehip Oil
I love rosehip oil, and it has done wonders for my skin since making it a regular addition to my skincare routine. The Ordinary offers a well-priced and budget friendly version of the oil, which can usually be pretty expensive depending on who sells it.
Because this version is more cost-effective, I tend to apply more generous amounts on my face and décolletage. For under $10.00, this oil is worth buying yourself to see if you like rosehip oil as much as I do!
Strawberry Milk Merch
I got this strawberry milk top as a gift when I was in Tokyo, and I purchased the socks the same day because I thought it was funny. Now, I find them irresistibly cute to pair together to create certified Looks™.
In general, I think it’s fun to add an element of “cute” and “unexpected” to your look on occasion, as it helps remind oneself that fashion should never be taken too seriously. It’s all about self-expression and having fun!
P.S. I do like strawberry milk, but not as much as chocolate milk.
