Top 3 Best Coffee Shops & Cafés in Holt, Norfolk UK
I recently had a rather restorative trip to Norfolk, specifically in Holt. This area of the U.K. is absolutely gorgeous, and there are a number of equally gorgeous cafés to keep you caffeinated enough to explore the area!

The Black Apollo Coffee House
The Black Apollo is the best speciality coffee shop in Holt.
This café has well crafted espresso-based drinks, that use very high quality beans. I also really appreciate the selection of treats available, especially ones for those with dietary restrictions. As someone who is gluten free, it's lovely to have the option to choose between a few items. I want to really highlight the cannoli - it was absolutely delicious!
The decor is what I would call whimsical. I love it! Some of the pieces - like the hare encircled with foliage - is downright weird, but delightful. There's also an abundance of art on the walls. My eyes never know where to settle, but I like that as it keeps me entertained and helps me stay present in the environment.
Overall - a great café in Holt that I would definitely recommend!

two magpies bakery
Two Magpies is a lovely café in Holt (with a few other locations across the UK).
The interior is very cozy, welcoming, and has a lot of options for seating. I was really pleased they allowed dogs inside. They also served puppuccinos with little treats on top that were downright adorable.
I was really pleased with the abundance of treats available that catered to a multitude of dietary restrictions (vegan, vegetarian, gluten free). Of the ones I tried, the amaretto cookie and tiramisu cake were highlights. I found the lemon square too bitter for my personal preference.
The coffee itself is good, but I wouldn't classify it as 'speciality' per se (i.e. they don't serve single origin beans from independent roasters). If you're not a coffee snob, then this won't be an issue whatsoever. I would classify it as a more upscale version of more conventional chains, with gourmet options of seasonal drinks.
All in all, a lovely café I would check out while in Holt!

byfords
Byfords is one of the most well-known establishments in Holt.
This B&B has an adjacent café that makes warming drinks and lovely nibbles in their rustic Georgian building.
If you want a comforting drink, stop by and enjoy some sips from a cafetière, or get a speciality latte.
