Kat Burki Skincare Review (Clean, Safe, and Cruelty-Free)
“Parabens, Synthetic Dyes, Synthetic Fragrances, Gluten, Sulfates, Petrolatum and Mineral Oils.”
When it comes to natural and clean skincare, Kat Burki really does excel in their field.
While not all of the products are effective on my skin, the ones that I find work, I adore. From the cult-favourite Vitamin C Intensive Face Cream, to the costly-but-covetable Hand Therapy, I break down my thoughts on some of the brands most sought-after products!
Kat Burki Hand Therapy
Kat Burki has infused this hand cream with a plethora of natural substances designed to keep your hands soft and smooth.
Their patented KB5™ Complex (a mix of Arnica, Gotu Kola, Lavender, Calendula, Chamomile) is paired with cold-pressed essential oils for a pleasant smelling and highly-effective product.
There might be significant sticker-shock considering this product is just a hand cream, but it really does work beautifully. If you don’t mind the splurge, the skin on your hands will thank you!

Kat Burki Body Butter
Another product containing Kat Burki’s KB5™ Complex and a mix of essential oils is their Body Butter.
While definitely effective (it has cold-pressed Rose Hip and Evening Primrose oils), I personally find it a bit too expensive for a body cream to justify the cost.
Does it work well? Absolutely. However, I do think there are other products at a more affordable price range that deliver similar results. If you are planning to splurge, I would more strong recommend one of their facial moisturizers or their hand cream for more area-specific treatment.
If you have the money to spend, it’s a nice product, but I won’t be re-purchasing until I win the lottery.

Kat Burki Kb5 Calming Gel Cleanser
Kat Burki’s signature gel cleanser features their KB5™ Complex, and a mix of more than 92 Ocean Minerals.
This product lathers well, and has a pleasant scent, but I found it left my skin feeling very “tight” and red. I fear in this case it might there might be a case of “too much of a good thing”. Although there are so many fantastic ingredients listed - Red Clover extract, Calendula Flower Water, Borage Seed Extract, to name a few - it is possible that I was allergic to one of them.
My sensitive skin may have reacted to one of these ingredients, making this product unsuitable for me. I hesitate to call it a bad product as one of my other friends (who I gave it to) really enjoys it, and claims it leaves her skin feeling fresh and clean.
As with any skin product, it’s worth trying out to see if it works for you. Personally, I wouldn’t recommended it to those with sensitive skin, but if you’re of a heartier build, try it out!

Rose Hip Intense Recovery Eye Serum
Kat Burki’s Rose Hip Intense Recovery Eye Serum is what I would consider a standout product.
This is by far the best eye serum I have ever used, and it’s a product I find myself re-purchasing time and time again (I’ve already emptied 4 bottles, and am currently on my 5th).
I find this eye serum delivers noticeable results, that tend to diminish when I switch it out for another product. On top of being hydrating, it lightens and brightens my under-eye area without any hint of irritation.
It also absorbs quickly, which makes it a dream for layering eye makeup on top of it in the morning.
Packed full of Rose Hip Seed Oil and Vitamin C, the product also has DMAE and 1% Retinol.
Overall, a very effective product for me!

Kat Burki Rose Hip Revitalizing Serum
Lovers of Rose Hip Oil (Cold-pressed, of course) and Vitamin C will fall in love with Kat Burki’s Rose Hip Revitalizing Serum.
Also touting their renowned KB5™ Complex, this serum brights and hydrates the skin. The formula is lightweight, and very easy to apply. It absorbs quickly, and allows me to layer SPF and foundation over it without any difficulty.
This is an expensive product, but a little goes a long way. The bottle will last you a long time, and is a worthy investment in my opinion.

Kat Burki Super Nutrient Elixir
As much as I want to love this product (it has Rose Water, Cold Pressed carrier oils, Botanical Hyaluronic Acid, MSM, and 5% Glycolic Acid), I find it always irritates my skin and makes it very red and inflamed.
I think the Glycolic Acid is too severe for sensitive skin to manage, and it makes me unable to use it.
While other Kat Burki products work well for me, this one is a hard pass.

Kat Burki Vitamin C Intensive Face Cream
This is my ride-or-die product that I consider as part of my Holy Grail of skincare.
The Vitamin C Intensive Face Cream is unique, and really makes my skin feel more plump and hydrated. The results for me were instantaneous, and I find there’s something “off” with my skin when I stop using it. On top of being moisturizing, I’ve also found that my slight acne scarring has decreased somewhat with repeated usage. Wow!
I always stock up on this cream whenever I find it at my local beauty counter; it’s a cult favourite, and tends to sell out fast!
The formula’s main ingredient is called 15% STAY C (a stable form of Vitamin C), that is paired with Reishi Mushroom to help its absorption.
The only thing I will mention is that my mum finds this product too harsh for her skin. She thinks the Vitamin C is too intense for her. However, I have never had this issue.
Different products are required for different skin types, and this particular cream does wonders for mine!

Kat Burki Vital Hydration Face Mask
I adore this mask!
As someone who has mainly lived in cold / damp climates (hello, Toronto and London 👋), my sensitive skin often needs an extra boost when the weather proves to be too harsh and dry.
After cleansing, I apply this at night to my face and décolletage. Rather than rinsing it off, I massage it into my skin and leave it on overnight. My skin soaks this stuff up, and always appears more plump and dewy the following day. You can choose to use it as a mask and rinse it off after 20 minutes if you prefer.
The key ingredient is a B vitamin complex and neuropeptides that Kat Burki claims targets “dehydrated lackluster skin”. Well, it definitely works for me!
