Belif Skincare Review (Natural K-Beauty Line)
Belief is the latest skincare brand I’ve had the pleasure of testing out. Given to me as a gift, I received the “Bestsellers on the Go” set of products with a very positive approval from a good friend.
According to the company, Belief, “combines time-tested apothecary herbal traditions and modern Korean skin science” in the creation of all their products. Many years ago, Duncan Napier, a famous medical herbalist, supposedly cured his chronic cold symptoms by testing out various herbs. The science and research he put into these herbal studies was later passed onto Belief, who have now harnessed It in the creation of safe skincare. Fascinating, isn’t it?
Overall, Belief does have some products that are quite covetable. Let’s break it down!
Before we start, do note that all the products listed are free from parabens, phthalates, and sulfates. The dermatologist tested product also doesn’t include any synthetic preservatives, fragrances, mineral oil, animal origin ingredients, and dyes. The price range of Belief is also affordable considering the cleanliness and efficacy of the products.
The True Cream - Moisturizing Bomb
Another standout product from the Belief line is this face cream.
According to the packaging, this cream “has been clinically tested to provide up to 26 hours of moisture.” While I have no way of measuring this exact number, I must say that my skin has felt deeply nourished and hydrated after using this product.
The texture of this creamy is, in a word, dreamy. It’s pillowy-soft, has a pleasant “bounce” (it reminds me of cushion compacts). It’s very easy to rub over the skin.
There is a very minimal scent, and I haven never experienced any discomfort or irritation when using this product.
The product uses the powerful comfrey leaf for its unique soothing and moisturizing properties.
All in all, this is a fantastic cream for anyone requiring a decently-priced moisturizer that’s easy on the skin.

Creamy Cleansing Foam Moist
This is a beauty product that I believe is filled with too much good.
Wormwood, sweet flag, and soapberry supposedly work together to prevent breakouts, detoxify, cleanse, and soften the skin. However, I found this product worked too well in the sense that my skin felt overly cleansed afterwards. It was often tight, squeaky, and dry to the touch after using it.
As someone with sensitive skin, this product is much too strong for me. I predict this might work for someone with less sensitive skin, but I personally found it unsatisfactory.
One thing I did enjoy about the cleanser was the lather - it “soaped” up really well, but in a very tolerable amount. No wild soap bubbles here!

Bergamot Herbal Extract Toner
Personally, I find myself divided on this toner.
Although it does cause my skin to tingle unpleasantly whenever I use it, it did not cause any excess redness, or break outs.
The primary ingredient is witch hazel, which is personally an herb I haven’t enjoyed using on my skin in the past. The product itself wasn’t very effective for me, but there were no negative effects. Given this, I’d say it’s worth a try it if you’re a fan of witch hazel, as it does seem like a good quality product overall.
The smell isn’t too strong, but I must confess I dislike the bottle; it’s quite difficult to get the proper amount of product out at a time.

Hungarian Water Essence
I had not been using an essence - but this product has certainly converted me!
This rosemary and lavender- filled essence (powerful hydrating antioxidants), on top of having a pleasant scent, leaves my skin soft, supple, and dewy. The results were apparent within a week, and it paired beautifully with any cream I tried it with.
The essence itself feels like tangible water - it’s incredibly lightweight and spreads easily over the skin. It soaks into the skin rather quickly, and it’s not difficult to layer makeup on top once the product has been put on.
Overall, if you were only planning to buy one product on this lis, the Hungarian Water Essence is the one to pick up! It’s an easy addition to any existing skincare routine, and it provides deep-hydrating, which is perfect in the long winter months.

Moisturizing and Firming Eye Cream
This is my favourite Belief product of the entire set.
The texture of this eye cream makes it very easy to distribute and gently spread / tap underneath the eye area. The product is “bouncy”, and stays on well after application. There is minimal smell, and overall it’s a very good product that clearly works well.
The only thing to note is that makeup doesn’t apply well for around 10 minutes after using the eye cream. As long as you allow the product to sufficiently dry, it isn’t much of a nuisance.
