Chocolate & Caramel Rice Krispies Squares Recipe - (Gluten Free)
Rice Krispies squares are an ultimate comfort food, that are so quick and easy to make. While regular Rice Krispies Squares bars are mainly comprised of the notorious cereal and marshmallows, this version includes chocolate and caramel which, lemme just say, is decadent.
You’ve got two choices: either use Caramilk Chocolate Bars (easy), or buy / make your own caramel, and melt some baker’s chocolate (intermediate). This recipe is highly customizable, so feel inspired!
Now, for this recipe, I didn’t use Marshmallows - I used Marshmallow Fluff, which has no gelatine. This ingredients allows these Rice Krispies to be vegetarian, Kosher, and Halal.
Now, I should note off the bat, that while you can use Rice Krispies for this recipe, they are not celiac-friendly. I used Nature's Path Organic Crispy Rice Cereal, which is gluten-free, organic, and very similar to the original cereal.
Enjoy!
