Marble Cake Recipe - (Gluten Free)
A classic cake, whose taste is as rich as you’d need to be to afford the real stuff!
The Recipe

Cooking time: 55 minutes
Total Time: 1 h 15 minutes
Yield: 1 gluten free marble cake

3 large bowls
Whisk - OR - Upright mixer
Measuring cups
Measuring spoons
Ingredients
1/2 cup (125g) salted butter
3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar
1/4 cup (50g) brown sugar
2 tsp vanilla
3 eggs
1/4 cup (25g) cocoa powder
1 cup (150g) flour
If using gluten free flour without xanthan gum, add 1/2 tsp xanthan gum
1/2 cup (50g) almond flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
(Optional) Glaze: Either Maple Syrup Glaze or 1/2 cup (90g) White Chocolate, melted
Instructions
Preheat the oven for 350°F (180°C)
In one bowl, cream together 1/2 cup (125g) salted butter, 3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar, 1/4 cup (50g) brown sugar, and 1 tsp vanilla extract (these are the wet ingredients)
Add in 3 eggs, and mix again
In another bowl, mix together 1 cup (150g) baking flour, 1/2 cup (50g) almond flour, 1 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp baking soda, and 1/2 tsp salt (these are the dry ingredients)
Slowly pour 1/4 portions of the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, until fully combined, and stir together
Separate the dough into two equal halves (A and B)
In dough A, mix in an extra 1 tsp of vanilla extract
In dough B, mix in 1/4 cup (25g) cocoa powder
Grease a bread mould with cooking spray - OR - parchment paper
Alternate pouring dough A and dough B in the bread mold, to form a swirling patterns (this is what creates the marbled effect)
Bake the Marble Cake in the oven at 350°F (180°C) for 35 minute, or until you can cleanly insert and remove a skewer
Take the cake of the oven, and let it cool for at least 20 minutes before consuming
